Chant Poem

you loved me

By Mya Evans

glowing lavender haze

mind blowing feeling of lips on lips

easy going movements to the music of the city

slowing down time, feeling so divine

sewing your love into this body of mine

you loved me

warm fuzzy feeling at daybreak

uniform fixing before kisses goodbye

transform groggy days to sunshine

inform the world that i am yours

art form is how i’d describe our love

you loved me

eeee

flames on cinnamon caramel coffee

names we were listing for bundles of joys

james is the one you loved the best

aims at my heart like cupid

frames of our dream family i see all around the room

you loved me

chestnut and wine aroma rises

shortcut to my heart is cooking with me

what a site to see, you and me

shut our door and opened a new one

but you loved me

you loved me

do you get deja vu?

brew cinnamon caramel coffee with someone new

avenue skipping to the sounds of the street

hue of purple glows as i watch through my shattered window

drew the conclusion that i was just your type

knew she looked familiar, found similarities in the mirror

debut to the world your number one girl

tattoo your love on her skin so this time it’s permanent

black-and-blue heart, you replaced the butterflies with scars

screw you for all the pain you put me through

you loved me
